I call it postproduction blues. You put in the work. You made sure everything in the recipe was present. You did it all including experiencing the victory. Then you are suddenly alone. Postproduction blues is dangerous. It's when most of our worst decisions are put into play alongside the victory.

Why do we endlessly allow other people to define who we are as people. It's not just politicians and bosses. It's your family, friends and new gatherings. Oh, you are. Why? Because we said so. Stop being afraid of your shadow and be you.

Thanks to social media and the constant talk of a community of know it all's... Who are you in the eyes of those who assume they know you?

We spend way too much time seeking leadership from people that have never walked in your shoes or sat in the bathroom with you during those bad cramps and vomit spills. What does anyone know about you? Yet they always want you to be happy.

We endlessly tell others as well as objects around us how much we love them. Yet, your heart doesn't feel like it's receiving as much as you are sharing.

Constantly, we are comparing our lives to others. How close to they are you? If they have something you need or you're just measuring them up... how close to they are you? Now spin it around, what if you're the one being watched? You are their they.

The majority of us have fallen witness to a mirage on a highway. It never feels like we can catch up to them. Or can we?

Call it out. You fear what people will really think about you. It's why you don't journal or keep a verbal diary of your walk through life. You fear someone will see who you really are and what you've faced day in and day out. Guess what? They're gonna find out anyway on the day you transition. Enjoy the adventure of you with those who love you most now. Not in memory.
